Consultant in Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics
Focus: Knee.
As a consultant in trauma surgery and orthopaedics, I am a specialist for knee injuries and degenerative knee conditions. The knee has always been my passion. I see myself as a specialist, not an all-rounder. In my daily work I focus exclusively on knee injuries and knee complaints; other joints are handled by the specialists for those areas. I treat my patients the way I would treat myself or my own family.
ACL.
ACLs are essential for knee stability. A tear can cause instability and follow-up injuries, so treatment requires perfection.
Meniscus.
Cartilage.
Cartilage is one of the key structures of the knee joint. We focus on preserving joint cartilage to enable a pain-free life.
Stem cells.
Stem cells are the building blocks of tissue repair. We use autologous stem cells to regenerate cartilage, menisci and ligaments.
Joint preservation.
Joint preservation is our specialty. Maintaining cartilage, ligaments and menisci plays a major role. This is of great importance to us.
Arthroscopy.
If surgery is needed, then as gentle as possible. Minimally invasive and gentle knee surgery is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weninger’s specialty. Surgery is performed only when no other meaningful option exists.
